Hey guys! Sorry I haven’t posted in awhile. How’s it going? My wisdom tooth is growing out and it hurts! At one point my jaw was a little swollen, but taking ibuprofen helps. Anyone have this problem? Lol oh joy.
I drew this picture of my Elin character on Tera Online. I guess this would be considered fan art.  It was for the Master the Dark Arts contest and I won a weapon skin along with 15 others on different servers. The theme of the contest was to draw a dark side of your character. The art director of Tera chose the winners and gave a brief reason why the winning artworks were chosen. He liked my hair and skull pupils xD The axe is the best looking skin compared to the rest, in my opinion and we got it before it was released in the cash shop. I really like the way the drawing came out because lines are very bold and intense. Makes my character look like manga art.

I’ve been in a guild for awhile now and I am very satisfied with it. It’s the kind of guild I’ve been looking for. They play for fun and aren’t too serious. No drama :D Our guild is named Celestial Knights and we’re on the server, Celestial Hills. We’re looking for some fun members, by the way ;D I also chose this server because I read online that they’re a great community, friendly and a role players server. Never tried that before, but I find it interesting. And that means there might be a lot of artistic players I can meet.

Hey guys, sorry it’s been a while since I’ve written anything. But I have good news (well bad if you didn’t win). I have already picked a winner for my painting giveaway! In the mean time, I have studied for my exam and the studying paid off! I passed! :D So happyy. Now I can go on Externship and I have to pass that too D:  I’m sorta scared for it because I have to do the real thing and draw blood from real patients. x.x

I’ve also been playing Tera Online haha I’m level 47 now :) Playing as a Berserker because I liked the block feature, even though I’m bad at the timing, but it helps most of the time! *-* Do any of you play Tera Online? :D I’ve heard that it’s the number one selling game right now lol orlly?!

This is a drawing of my Elin Berserker. Her outfit and weapon look different now haha I was thinking of making an art shop on the Tera forums and sell art for gold, but I’m waiting for an answer from one of the forum moderators to see if it’s ok to do that. So far no answer; it’s been 2 or 3 days ^^;; Not sure what I’m going to do.

I have some sketches of my next paintings I’ll be working on, but I don’t want to reveal them to you. They were requested from people :) I hope things go swell. I also have a final exam coming up that I need to study for so there might be a delay in posts this week/next week.

Yesterday was Park Bom’s birthday and as I didn’t have time to paint her anything, I just drew something up as fast as I could. She may or may not have seen it because she probably got a lot of happy birthday spam on her Instagram lol

I also posted an artwork I did for a new friend I met during class. It’s a picture of her and her boyfriend. She liked it a lot and posted it on her Instagram as well. I have such a hard time talking to people I’ve never met or feel comfortable talking to. I just freeze up and my mind goes blank and it feels terribly awkward haha. Almost like the feeling of having stage freight. I guess this is what you’d call social anxiety? :s It’s something I’ll slowly, but surely get over.

Oh yeah, I’ve also tried out playing Tera Online LOL I’m still a noob and don’t know much about the game, but I like being a warrior and swinging swords. The reason why I chose this class is because I watched the anime called, Sword Art Online. Almost broke my little heart and I really loved the anime. You should watch it too! It’s funny because it’s about mmorpg games and online gamers can relate to it xD

I painted this really nice picture of Sooyoung from SNSD aka Girl’s Generation. She was requested to be drawn from someone on DeviantArt. I hope you like it bby! Sorry I took so long D: I think it’s about time I paint the other girls too haha. As for the speed paint videos, I can’t seem to play back the video when I open it in my editing program, Window’s Live. It might be because my processor is outdated or can’t handle the program. *shrugs* I need to save up duh money.

My favorite part about doing portraits is painting. Putting color on my drawings gives so much life and definition to the painting, I love it! I usually paint while listening to music. Most of the time I am listening to kpop, Bigbang to be specific haha, and a lot of the time I like to leave a song on repeat if it gives the feeling I’m trying to go after and that’s important when you’re painting. You want to try and convey a feeling. Show your audience how you feel; that’s why art is a form of expression.

Many of you might or might now know this, but my initial influence that got me drawing when I was young is anime and until this day, it still is an influence on me. Right now it’s a combination of both anime and kpop/realism and that’s why my artwork looks the way it does. It doesn’t look like a photograph, but you can recognize who it is in the painting haha. It’s been close to half a year that I started using Gouache and Watercolor paint as an asset to my artwork. It’s been a great and rewarding experience experimenting with it and sharing my creations with you all. I’m glad that I’ve inspired some individuals to pick up a brush and start painting.
